Dead Speedo Cluster

My Speedo Cluster is kind of screwed... I am not quite sure its accurate and the odometer stopped at 70K...

SO my question is... this car is going to be a track car... so should I just do away with the Cluster and get Aftermarket guages?

If so which ones do you guys recommend? Will they be hard to install in place of the Cluster?

Aftermarket gauges won't be hard to install at all. Autometer gauges can be hit or miss - but i've had good experiences with them.

my speedo straight up stopped workin today...tach works fine...so do all the other gauges but the speedometer...i have no clue what to do....might just go get a aftermarket gauges...but id like to fix mine in mean time

If both the speedometer and odometer stopped working at the same time then it's likely the cable or the gear in the trans broke. That also means the vehicle speed sensor is broken and the ECU can't tell if the car is moving. That will mess up the stutterbox feature of most aftermarket EPROMS.

mine did the same thing odometer and speedo stopped all else works great >< i dont wanna tear out my dash though so i run without them

Check your speed sensor wires on all four wheels...speed sensor on your tranny. Have you guys tried the obvious and removed and reinstalled your cluster (just to reseat the plugs)?

The ABS wheel speed sensors and the Vehicle Speed Sensor are unrelated.
