Well my Eclipse has been sitting around for a good 5 months or so now. It has a new battery that I got right before it started to sit around. It had lots of gas left in it when parked. Put in new synthetic oil too.
I tried to start it up today and obviously got no power when went right to try and start it. Si I tried jumping it. I got power right away for the radio and everything inside but would not start. I could hear the starter going but no crank at all. It did not sound like it was trying to start what so ever. When I disconnected the jumper cables after been hooked up for about 15 minutes or so there was no power at all inside. No radio and the starter did not turn at all when trying to start the car.
Does this sound like a dead battery or maybe something else?
Been sitting for a really long time, so how long do these batteries usually have to be charged before they are able to start up? I didn't think when connected to jumper cables would need to take too long.
