so my friend works at a guys racing shop. he just went with him to the monster jam events this past weekend and sat next to chad fortune who drives superman and some others. anyway, my friends boss and tony stewart are close friends and tony gave us 3 garage passes for the 500. we are going to be hanging out with tony stewart, dale jr, and others for the week and are sleeping in a motorhome between stewarts and denny hamlins motorhomes. then at the end of the month, im testing for TGR motorsports which owns a nascar truck team, part time cup team and arca team. they also just finished 1- 2 in the gt1 class in the 24 hours at daytona. anyway, i want to know what i can do on my car before the trip as im driving the talon from PA to florida. like change the oil, refill antifreeze, etc. what else could i do? i put new brakes on it, new wheel bearing, axle, ball joint on the right front, and a couple of other things.

Am I the only one that can drive my car for 3000 miles without anything but a basic tool kit in my car?

Check the fluids, check the belts, check the tires, and fill up the tank. For that kind of drive, I'd also recommend buying some chips and pop before hand.

Might as well check brake fluid, tire pressure, lug nuts torqued, power steering fluid, antifreeze, oil, belts, battery connections, spare tire, jack, lug wrench, air filter, tires balanced and aligned.

yea i have every tool in my car you can think of as well as an aluminum lightweight racing jack. i have to have tools in my car or i dont feel comfortable. i even have a few spare parts and belts. so far im changing the oil (bringing a couple qts of oil), checking atifreeze (with more in my trunk), cheking all belts, battery connections, and i guess i will put some gas in it LOL. how much money should i go through with gas?

damn. never realized it was that cheap. so how many miles roughly should i be able to go on a full tank? since my fuel gauge doesnt work. 250?
