Datalogger on a 2g????

Can i use a datalogger on my 2g 98 eclipse awd?? I have a 91 laser turbo and i have it setup on it!! Now i know the 2g is obd 2 but can u still do it somehow?? With out spending big money??? Thanks!

You need a different connector and a different logger program (Unless you're using palm'n'stein)

The connector can be expensive (around 100 dollars), copied from the tunerstien webpage http://students.db.erau.edu/~szabafab/stein/
"If you have an OBD-II vehicle (2g DSM) you may acquire an OBD-II logger cable from Multiplex Engineering. It will be around $85. You want the T16-003 Connector with destination address 0x25 (or just tell them your using Hal Landry software). If you wish to use this adapter for a Laptop, all you need is a null modem cable. There is NO DIY cable for a 2G that will work. I would suggest running the software with a Palm because the Laptop logger program is not well suited."
