wheres a good place to get a obdII datalogger for my 95 gst? i want the whole kit, no bidding though.

www.pocketlogger.com You'll have to buy the PDA separately. Or you can go on eBay and buy a knockoff logging cable with freeware software. They sometimes seel a whole "kit". Knockoff cable, PDA, cable and freeware software.

I went to pocketlogger.com (Digital Tuning, Inc.) and I'm extremely satisfied.

As far as logging goes what are the most important options ill want when buying a logger I have an idea what they are but.. im looking at this ebay logger that comes with everything similar to dsmloggers and it has

RPM
Timing Advance
O2 Sensor
MPH
Load
MAP Sensor
Air Temperature
Air Flow
Throttle Position
Water Temperature
O2 Trim
Short Trim
Long Trim

Are these good enough?

Thanks

Since you have a 95 and should have an EPROM ECU, I'd just get DSMLink. Tuning device and datalogger in one. It'll require a laptop though.

no.. thats the problem.. the Laptop .. thats expensive i need to go cheapest route for now.. so should i go with pocketlogger.com ?

I understand taht.....but the system requirements to run DSMLink software is VERY low... so an el cheapo laptop will run it no probs...i.e. id get an old laptop for under $100 from a pawn shop and only use it to run dsmlink....also if it were to get stolen its not the biggest deal in the world....Just my thoughts...

Actually with the DSMlink setup its better to use an older laptop as most of the newones do not have the correct port. The ideal laptop for the DSMlink is a 98-00 build that has a serial port on it so you dont have to mess with a USB adapter.

You can also use an older Palm like a Palm III series as they have a versions of the software for the palm now as well. Hal (the guy that did Tunerstein I believe) offers a DSMlink for palm that you can get on their forums once you purchase the Chip etc. :thumb: Of course $50 for a used palm on ebay or $100 bucks for a cheapo laptop, laptop probably the better deal.
