I am about to make a datalogger cable and I am looking for the switching diodes and resistors I am wondering if this is what I need

10k Ohm resistor with 1/4Watt and 5% tolerance but do I need Carbon Fiber or Metal?
1N914 switching diodes 100V/75mAh

Is that correct?

Carbon is fine for the resistor. That switching diode is fine.
