data logger cable

i recently was in the market for a cable after searching i decided on a pocketlogger but unfortunantly they are discontinued. from the advice i have seen i decided to get this cable
eBay Motors: USB VAG OBD-II Scanner Scan Tool Cable KKL for Audi VW (item 150327785938 end time Apr-20-09 02:31:11 PDT) now the problem i have is my hotsync cable for my palm is a serial db9. after searching i have not been able to find an adaptor to connect the two. is there anyway to combine the two cables i know the 9pin has 9 wires but i am unsure on the usb any help would be very much appreciated thanks for the time

Is this for your 1g? If so, it's not OBD-II. If you're good at soldering you can build you own from parts found at RadioShack or other electronics supply stores using this diagram:

That's a ODBII cable - if you have a '93 that's not the correct cable.

well i found another cable with a serial port eBay Motors: Vag-Com Serial Cable/Interface/Scanner VW Audi~OBD2 (item 390040557674 end time Apr-27-09 11:39:25 PDT)
now hopefully this will work with my palm

yeah that cable has been discontinued. it was my first choice
