When my car starts and the engine is warm, the idle goes up to about 22-2500. It comes back down to about 750 or so, sometimes around 5-600. (Feels like it may stall at 500) Anyways, my battery and brake light come on when this happens. They stay on until the car gets boosted once. I haven't really looked at anything yet. TPS, etc... Any suggestions?

BTW: New alt., battery, belts chirp sometimes and need replacing

My first guesses are somewhere along the lines of the alternator. Double check it agian. If your belt shredded last time, make sure that you cleaned all of it out fo there. It sounds like a definite alternator problem though.

I was kind of leaning toward alt./belt problem. My alt. went out when I got to work. Luckily, (sort of) there is a shop across the street. I say "sort of" because the guy didn't even remember to tighten down the battery cable after changing parts. Quite the mechanic huh. I would rather have done it myself, ya know. Anyways this problem pretty much started right after that.

Well, the alternator would be 4 lights I believe (Radiator, A/T Temp, Battery Light, and Brake light) and when the SRS light blinks that means you're about to stall out.

But since you just replaced your atlernator, and are sure it went in the right way, did you recently install an intake or exhaust?
