JUST PIG RICH???? I hope so...car never has issues and is spoolin great with the 13g and the profec b set at 14 pounds.....thought that it was runnin rich cause i only get about 20mpg on a good day but the plugs are white though:confused:

dam someone had mentioned a new manual ecu for like 50 bucks....guess that isnt the case....was the one you bought for 150 an eprom ecu? cause that would definately bump the cost up.

Not a hard time at all. I have sold several for 50 bucks. In great working order. Plenty of people sell them for 50-70 dollars. A local engineer could replace caps for about 30 bucks.

I stand corrected. He is still going to have a hard time finding the ecu he needs for $50 new,let alone used, turbo or non.

Finding it new for 50 bucks impossible. I have 3 used manual 1G turbo ECUs. A ton of local guys have lots of extras. I'm sure it's not just a utah thing. I have never seen a non Eprom manual ECU go for more than 60 bucks.

couldn't a safc and a fpr also solve the issues ?

Either could.
With an SAFC you could tune the car to run with the 450cc injectors and the higher pressure FRP. With the manual FPR your only 6% off, with an AFPR you could tunr the pressure down even below the stock manual setting and bring the 450s even closer to the effective flow rate of the 390s and the auto FPR.

However, I doubt the OP wants to buy an SAFC when he doesn't have money for a manual ECU.

hey steve how different would the timing be between the ecu's...honestly if blindsey had a manual turbo ecu that has good caps that he would wanna get rid of for $50 I could get a manual fpr and call it a day so what do say blindsey:sneaky:....until I can afford to go link I dont wanna mess around with wastin money on safc

50 plus shipping and i will throw in a manual FPR. Honestly don't waste time with a Super afc. i bought one and never installed it.

Im sure somewhere on here or on ebay or another forum someone is selling an oldschool safc or safcII for no more then a hundred dollars. Atleast this way with an safc you can continue to build up the mods were as if an ecu is located that will only work with that set up and a safc or some other tuning will be required in the future. Get what I'm saying?
ecu= current mods, cheap route
safc= present and future mods, maybe slightly more money but still affordable and you can get more out of it.
If it was me I would get an safc but everyone has a budget, I have to deal with mine everyday I look at my car
Just weigh your options

Scratch what I just said I just saw your new post with talking about going to dsm link. Do what you got to do then and get link and bask in its tuning glory. I wish I could do that

shit if I could find a used safcII for that I would definately pick it up regardless but I think my new friend blindsey is helpin me out:D

I follow you on the boost leak thing Steve, but now that the gm maf and maf-t are in the metering is down right before the tb. Yet the symptoms remain. Sorry OP didn't mean to thread jack, but our setups are so close what could help me may help you as well.

Did you pressure test from the TB? Just because you put the MAFT in doesn't mean you won't have leaks or that they don't matter. You can still have post MAF leaks like before and get the same results.

So your thinking along the lines of like the injector o-rings? The manifold gaskets have been replaced already. I'm going to have to double check that to make sure.
