OK guys i just bought a 93 laser...this is my 1st DSM but im somewhat mechanically inclined...Now to my problem..I was messing around one night and the wastegate arm to my suprise wasnt connected to the turbo :thumbdown so i hook it back up...to find out 10 miles later it popped off again I believe from bad motor mounts. Well i bought prothane inserts...and now wheel hop is gone...now the only problem is the little circlip(whatever it is) that usually holds the wastegate arm on the turbo...the clip keeps coming off     I went to discount auto parts and bought some "hairstyle clips" to keep the wastegate arm from popping off...and it feel off AGAIN...so i dunno what to do now any suggestions?

I don't see how it will poped off again if you bent the cotter pin back after you push it throught.

It wasnt a cotterpin it was more like a E clip....u know the kind u push on and it snaps around the piece u want it to hook onto....Im running out of options...i dunno wut to do...theres not even a hole there for a cotterpin for it to slide into...

What turbo is this? I've never seen one without a hole for th cotter pin. Maybe you didn't push the arm in far enough on the flapper lever.

stock 14b.....u know the piece that goes thru the WG arm?...that piece dosent have a hole for me to put a cotterpin through.

way to explain it...is to use ur hands....on ur left hand make a circle with ur thumb and pointer finger(this would be WG arm with hole in it)...on the right hand use ur pointer finger(piece on the turbo that goes thru the WG arm) and go thru the hole on the left hand....the pointer finger on the right hand(turbo piece) has no hole for me to put a cotterpin through..

LOL Isn't that the international signal for f**king? :D I understand what you're saying, just never seen one without the hole. You can use the smallest colbalt bit and drill a hole yourself. Be very patient with it because the lever is made of hard metal. It took me an hour to drill throught it last time when my cotter pin broke and got stuck inside. Good luck.
