I just finished turbo charging my 2.4 spyder an i just did the dyno, I dynoed at 266whp at 8psi...An I havent done nothing but just slap a turbo on an GS-T injectors. I guess GS Turbo charged owns 4g63.....Or am I wrong?? I mean 266 an im not even boosting, I put sum pistons an rods be able to boost sum more im lookin at sum pretty good hp am i right?

If I had built Internals and some Fuel I could run 30psi...so whats your point?

That if you both are running the same fuel setup, the same brand name internals, same turbo, same mods, and both had a proper tune he'll always make more power and more boost due to the displacement.

Like I said, 32psi on stock 4G63T internals. That is the limit. Besides all the racing fuel, a turbo that can hold it, and an experience tuner all you need is two things in the engine: MML HG, ARP studs. I would not recommend this on a DD though. Why do you think I run only 29psi daily? Have you ever tried this yourself? Come around and I'll show you what my boost gauge reads and my "frosted" tailpipe ;)

29 daily damn. Ok ok you got me thats so crazy. I didnt know stock can go up that much. Now can you turn your boost down daily and then crank it up before a race and not have anything happen. Like keep it at 14 daily and crank it to 25 before a race and have nothen kill you. Im going to pick up a laser turbo so does this mean after the engine rebuild i can boost above 20psi with a good fuel set up and turbo and not have to worry about high priced internals?

When i say im not even boosting, i just meant that thats a very lil amount for what i plan to boost. I am goin to order the JE pistons an the eagle rods, an a metal gasket a few other things just not right away, ### i have done so far is a t3/t4 ball bearing turbo, greddy type rs blow off, 3 inch down pipe, still has the stock eshaust system though...um a tubular custom made exhaust manifold, 450cc injectors walbro fuel pump, theres one more thing my mechanic told me he did but im not sure ### he was sayin im new to this maybe sum1 here knows....k it has no intake system it has like sum kind of box or sumthin in the corner i think he said sumthing about massive airflow system or sumthin idk but supposively its better than havin an intake, if kno one knows ### i mean im gonna go to his shop tomorro ### my car is still there....i was gonna have a super afcII but he said i didnt need it ### of that thing the massive air flow system or sumthin....um o yea an a spearco front mount. rather large too, ill get pics up just havent had time wit the car been workin a lil to much.

You cannot compare the car to a 4g63, They are two completly different motors. It would be like comparing an orange to an apple. You just can't compare the two.

Yes you can, they are both fruit! :p

Of course you can turn it down and up (with a boost controller). No, you cannot just boost high right away, you'll need a good tune with little or no knock.

Exactally what I was saying.

You're gonna need a AFC if you're upgrading the fuel injectors.

I'm putting a used 4G64 shortblock from a '94 Galant ES into a '92 Talon Tsi AWD. Rebuilt 4G63T head, I'm gonna double up MLS 4G64 headgaskets for slightly less compression. Planned on 8lbs boost, car should feel awesome with only this.

:thumb: Where to start? First things first...congratulations on your numbers man, with very little invested on a backyard tubo kit, an untuned 266whp is pretty damn good imop. Listen to the one who said enjoy it for the couple of days it will run, because I'm pretty sure he's right. Let's go over where you should go from here..You're running 450cc injectors on a 2.4L with t3/t4? Although the boost is moderately low, the stock 2g's come equipped with 440's to support a significantly smaller turbo on a 2.0L. I'd love to sit here and go over compressor maps but i'm pretty sure that your lbs/min on only8psi is equivilent if not exceeding that of a t25 on a higher boost level with less displacement to worry about. Where I am going with this is that you need to upgrade your fuel system badly, 255lph is a necessity for a turbo of that size imop and you are going to need a good afpr to keep the pump from overriding your stock fpr. once all that is said in done you are going to have to choose an injector size that is right for your goal/ budget. although a larger 750+ set of injectors would be great, you are going to be hard pressed to tune them with a piggyback fuel management system, and because you are NOT running a 4g63 dsmlink is unfortunately not an option for you..so you need to ask yourself are you ready to fork out some serious cash for standalone, or can you keep yourself down to a lower boost level with a smaller set of injectors? To the one waving the bs flag on 32psi on a stock bottom end, just because something is not seen everyday does not mean its impossible. One thing that many of the readers on the forums don't realize is how important tuning is on a dsm. How about 516whp on stock 7bolt internals with just a metal hg and arp head studs? sound like bs with those skinny rods? Well it's not something all of you will learn at one point or another (this doesnt apply to those who already have)

IT'S ALL IN THE TUNING!!!!!!!

Just don't want to see you turn into one of the many with a built bottom end who feel that thier motor is "bulletproof", turn up the boost one night, and get towed home, take your time with the project, do things right the first time around, and you'll never have to pay for broken things later on. Best of luck to you on your project. Keep us posted

I do have 255lph already i got that when i first did the turbo upgrade, an i do have a fuel system the MAF translator controls my fuel an my air its just like a superafc just a lil better. I kno i cant boost more for now but i will change that soon.
