After finding out that i had 40% leak down in 2 of my cylinders over christmas break I decided to pull my engine and rebuild it, even though it only had 20k miles on the previous build. This time i am taking my time and learning from my mistakes of the first build. The motor will be a 2.3 long block with ported head built by JAM. While the motor is out i have decided to strip and repaint the engine bay and re grease and clean the suspension, along with other upgrades. I am including some of the pics of what i have done so far. Not all in order though. I will try to post pics as i start to reinstall stuff to show my build.

The striped block is in one tote and the other tote has the head and other parts getting shipped to JAM. I put 2x4 on the bottom then wrapped it all in trash bags and filled the gaps with expanding foam in layers so that it actually dried. Finally drilled holes and zip tied the lids on.

Messed up the clear coat by trying to put it on when it was too cold, so its getting wetsanded down again and re-painted

Found out that the auto trans mount i have is to wide for the prothane insert so I'm going to trim down the prothane insert.

1g throttle body that I tapped and put plugs in the vacuum line ports before sending it off for powder coating, did the same thing with my evo3 intake manifold.

Put the new powdercoated rear subframe on with poly bushings, aluminum diff bushings and hatchers 4th rear diff mount.
Also started putting the rear suspension back on the car after power washing it all and regreasing the poly bushings. Along with
99gst_racer's rear spherical toe arms.
