Cylinder 2 and 3 wont hold conistant fire (spark) what can i do?

What do you mean by check? Did you pull a scope pattern or check for volt loss?

It would be difficult at best to diagnose transient problems such as this without some sort of a device to check for patterns.

You may have to go and have it scoped. Other than that, check all your connections to make sure something hasn't worked loose.

If I had to guess, I would try a known good component and I would look real close at the Cam Angle Sensor.

You're having intermittent coil failure. If you can find someone with one good coil, you can just relpece the coil for cylinders 2 and 3. Otherwise you will have to replace the complete coil pack. Had this problem myself...it usually happened to me under boost.

I know silverstrocker. I am currently working with him and a Mechanic to figure out the problem.
Seem to be that the condition only happen when the cars warm up and goes over 3000rpm. Once it happens stay in that condition. Pretty weird.
We have changed:
-The ECU and try it in somebodys car and didn't do anything to the other car.
-Change the Coils (nothing)
-Wire the coil signal straight from the ecu to the transistor (nothing)
-change transistor (nothing)
-New crank angle sensor (at least the car idles)
-We are going to check the Crank angle sensor for clearence.

Seems to be that the ECU skip those Cylinder and won't fire at all. I keep thinking is the signal from the crank angle sensor.

What else is controlling the spark? or tell the ECU to send the spark????
 
I had an odd one on a 92 TSI I would have problems with misfireing on #2 and #3 and it kept throwing code 44 I swapped cam sensers, coils, etc nothing helped. Finally changed to #1 and #4 misfire with the same code 44 I tried a diffrent ECU it was it. Turned out my caps had leaked in the ECU and it was causeing the problem I would have NEVER suspected that to have been it cause of the code 44 and all. Granted your car is a 2 G and totally diffrent but it's something to look into none the less.
 
Sorry for posting here, but I do have a similar problem on a 2G NT

I have a 95 GS, and sometimes it goes 3 (around 1k rpm to 4krpm) and sometimes it goes at 4 cilynders (when going at 4K rpm, noise sounds more normal, less tractor style).

I have error code 1-2-2-2-5-5.
What does it means?

Seems like your codes are actually 12-22 and 55.
About 12 don't worry it is not important. and 55 means the end of the codes.
Code 22 means: Engine coolant temperature sensor voltage too low.

About your problem I am not sure sorry. :coy:
