CV joint help

While I was pulling my car to a nearby shop to have the strut tower rust patched (under 5 mph), one of the cv joints feel off from all the flopping around I guess. I assume that all I need to do is to reconnect it with a new boot or reuse the old one, but how do I fill it with grease?

Disconnect the large band clamp reassemble your axle. Pull the large end back fill w/grease. Reattach a new large band clamp and your axle is back together.
