cv axle not spinning transmission output shaft

Im trying to install driver side cv axle on a 1g awd tsi and when i get the cv axle in the transmission and spin the axle to see if it spins the transmission output shaft wich would spin the t case the cv axle spins but no spin from the output shaft is this normal or does this mean something is wrong? Thanks in advance for your help.

It just means you have a normal "open front diff". The front diff has to rotate to turn the output shaft. By just turning one axle doesn't mean the diff is turning, only the spider and axle gears. I don't see a problem.
