Im thinking if I turbo my engine, I dont want to replace everything like a kit. I am only going for a 5 psi setup with a small quick spooling turbo with an internal wastegate. I want to know if I could just use my N/A manifold(aftermarket) and weld a flange to it? Also I read a little and evidently 5 psi wont require an intercooler. So if I get a turbo with oil feed lines can I use my current manifold and how do I go about setting it up?

Yes, you could weld on an adapter to your current manifold. There's a few people that have done so.
Without an intercooler at 5psi you'll have pretty high intake temps, which makes you more prone to detonation. So, just keep that in mind.
Hahn sells a "stage 1" kit, meant to be run at 5psi that doesn't have an intercooler, so you should be alright.

what does CHRA stand for?

Center housing rotating assembly. It's the part in between the turbine (the "hot side") and the compressor (the "cold side"). It contains the shaft, bearings and seals. There's an oil inlet on top and an oil outlet on the bottom... it's pretty straightforward.

If you are only wanting to do 5 PSI why don't you just go with the cheapest supercharger you can find?

At that little boost I don't see why you wouldn't want it to be instant unless you want to hear a blow off which at 5 PSI I don't think you would be hearing much of anything anyway.

There isn't anyone who makes a bolt on supercharger kit for the 420A. So unless the OP is handy with the aluminum fab and a water jet cutter, that's a tough task. I've seen a few custom kits floating around ebay and once there was one on the neon forums.

an intercooler adds HP but at 5 psi would it be like a short intake versus a cold air intake situation? I'd rather have better response and acceleration if that's the case I don't try to see how fast my car can go its an automatic anyways, wont let me past like 105 mph(of course I tried when I got the car)

Just because the intercooler does not come with the kit doesn't necessarily mean you don't need one.

There would be more chance on knock without an intercooler, which in turn can lead to an experience you don't want. You live in FL, so your under hood temps are probably already kinda toasty.

Hahn is extremely reputable and their kit is designed to be installed and ready to go, meaning you don't need any other parts. If they say you won't experience knock at 5psi without an intercooler, I believe them.
Now, would it be more beneficial and safer to have a intercooler? Absolutely.

I don't see where it says that you do not need an intercooler. It says it doesn't come with one, but not exactly that you don't need one. If you look at the picture, the compressor side piping appears to be routed for an intercooler.

They bill their kits as "all inclusive," so if it doesn't come with one it doesn't need one. Hahn has sold quite a large amount of kits throughout the company's existence. They're one of the few vendors that is still revered for their knowledge, dedication and customer support.

ill probably find a small intercooler and run a short setup dont need a huge fmic. if i remember theres a good spot on the side of the block to mount it where alot of people put their CAI bracket. so running off of stock fuel pressure and everything whats neccessary other than the turbocharger and piping?
