As title says. Iam going to make custom tubular manis...Reason..$$$
DNP cost around 600usd plus 150usd shipping + 5% money transfer+ 24% of customs duty...:barf: :barf:

Actually right now I got burned new exhaust flange and turbo fllange,- draw with Corel Draw software and I draw my ex channels bigger +4mm in "diameter" almost like stock seal. Now I got maybe 55mm long channels and 40mm high..And Iam affraid if it´s not very huge for my TO4E 50trim...??? I think I get better spool up:thumb:
Now I will use 50!!mm inside Diameter exhaust pipes from head to charger...huge??
BTW.actualy Match ported...:coy:
Give me some suggestion please.

I post this "custom manis project question" in here and you can check pics inside...

didn´t wnat to start new thread..but No answer and need help..
Thank you

More velocity = better spool up. Try smaller ports for better spool up. Larger ports = better topend flow.

did you consider buying a ebay mani and rewelding it? for the amount of work involved to make one from scratch it might be worth it.

yeah, calculated..:notgood:
xspower cost around 200usd..don´t know sure..
but everytime I have to pay 150usd for shipping to Czech, 5% for money transfer to my Bank+PayPal and Customs duty 24% ..
I checked both steel flanges- Head/turbo/O2housing for FREE plus checked free 50mm inside tubes!
Me with uncle will weld with CO2 welder aggregate I think...TIG..or so

on beggining I ordered UPC SS manis from Logic Performance for 280usd:sneaky: ,but Chris told me they are out of Stock...for 4months:notgood: need manis to build custom IC pipes..install turbo/oil and finally build Exhaust sytem.
So, starts check somewhere else...result..build custom:thumb:

Definetly love race style..but UPC are good too...talking about good look...:sneaky:
BTW last tubulars looks ..okay..and I think spool up will be best..??
any opinion???:dsm:
the last tubular manifold in the pic would be no better than running a cast manifold. cylinders #2 and #3 are much shorter and dump into cylinders #1 and #4 at a very flow restricting angle. also for a daily driver tubular manifolds are not very practical as they raise under hood temps significantly and are prone to cracking.

Yeah..double check it..you are right with last pic.! So 2nd tubulars(I think OBX) won...
back to lenghts..is it really necessary to be same?cus turbo charger flange isn´t in middle..is in place of 3rd cylinder.So..logically lenghts are differnt..1st and 4th are diffrent..2nd and 3rd too..Do I need to compensate?:dsm:

Those welds look kinda thin to me.
Those are just tack welds. You weld it like that when your first setting up whatever your welding, it helps so you can easily adjust your pipe, bend, and so on. Marsagsx, I think its great that you are making your own manifold!:thumb: I hope it turns out good.

Looks like it is coming together well. I would make sure you are using the same kind of metal for the flanges and piping as I've heard about stainless steel being welded to cast and not heating up/cooling down at the same rates and causing ing. Other than that it looks like you are off to a good start.:thumb:

hey, thank you for praisful add:sneaky: :thumb:
iam little bit affraid cus using 50mm inside" Diameter-most of other tubulars using 42mm. Of course my head runners are port matched with exhaust manis flange.
yeah, I can´t calculate with some low spool up on my 50trim...but hope for TOP End;)

hey,
my flanges are made from 11523 and that elbows with straight are weldless tube. easy can hold more then 1300+°C
800°C =1472°F:sneaky:
but you are right..3 different matterials are not well..flange,elbow,welds..
Hope this weekend will finished and then finished whole 50trim setup..this manis are BIG brake for me...only one thing and can´t continue:coy:
and got long way to run my "NEW" baby...:dsm: next will be custom 3" Turbo-Back;)

Thank you for help:thumb:

next pics..
right now Iam in process of finally welding...tommorow should be finished:rocks:
You can check that we changed diameter on last 4 elbows...we had issues with space:coy: ..was hard to fit four 50mm dia runners into turbo flange..
have to say that we changed maybe 4times..taked out...watch for fitment to another elbow...hmmm No..have to change it...then we cut in some degree and weld on..of course after every single cutting..I cleaned out inside dia from "frays"-don´t know how to translate batter..You know I mean
