I have a 2g gst spyder and am getting ready to install a FMIC and I am wondering if I can custom pipe a cold air intake into the smic box? Seem like it will work great in theory. Any ideas or opinions?

No.

Most cars are indeed on speed density or maf when doing this. There are also intakes you can buy to fit there if you dont wnat to make one.DVDT Fab makes a kit that can be routed like stock or in the fender well.

Checked out there site and there domain name has expired. Any other links to similar systems like this being done? Or other kits? Would the added benefits even be worth the trouble? I have a k&n filter kit now and thinking of moving to a Injen short RAM system if I don't do this.

Ya i just saw it is expired. I dont know of any other off hand but you could always custom make one or have one made. Benifits are really just a little cooler air and cleaner engine bay. If you go with a normal style intake you wont have any issues.

Yeah. Just wondering if it is worth it. Actually still debating on even changing filter systems. I have the k&n kit now but it uses the oem pipe. It would have a cleaner look with a full pipe though. But there's always the issue of money
