Custom 2G Bumper Support

Has anyone ever made a custom metal 2G bumper support?
With a larger FMIC we have to lose the bumper support, not something I'm overly comfortable with.

Ideas?

Some where I seen some one with either a aftermarket or custom built tubular bumper support.

You can probably get away with cutting your bumper support in half like I did.

i had a set on mine they were screwed in bars to the firewall that i bent to reach out and screwed in the bottome of my bumper it was and odd idea but it worked like a charm even when i wrecked my bumper the supports kept it form falling off or shaking i would take pics but i already removed them for the new bumper

JM Fabrications makes one for the 1g. I suppose a 2g one could be in the works somewhere. It is really just a matter of making a custom bracket, though.

Personally I don't see the need. My intercooler fits with the factory bumper, and almost half of the core is covered (by the bumper cover) and gets no flow. The factory bumper is fiber-reinforced plastic, too, so you aren't going to save any weight by replacing it with a steel bracket.

I'm not looking to save weight, I'm looking to have some safety by still having a bumper support.
