Hello all!

So I have a 2g GS-T with an aftermarket steering wheel, and the switch that is usually on the column isn’t there, so I’m gonna rewire the “set” and “accel/decel” to some aftermarket buttons, the only problem is I have no idea which wires are which. Does someone have a diagram that I can go off of or have any helpful tips on which wire is which? Anything is helpful

On the factory 2g GS-T the 3 switches (Acc/Res, Coast/Set, Cancel) don't have separate wires. Instead two have a different series resistor (than the other one) and one has no resistor - and all of this is in parallel with each other going into just two wires. One wire is black-white and ends up going to pin 18 of the Auto-Cruise-ECU. The other wire is blue which changes to a blue-white and goes to ignition power and to pin 20 of the Auto-Cruise-ECU.

Ahhh ok, so let’s say I tried to wire some buttons up instead of using the lever system, would I be able to? And if so would you have any tips on how to do so?

Yes. You can wire the individual buttons in. The Cruise Control ECU just takes the incoming voltage and alters the setting based on it. So all you'd need to do is wire the buttons in parallel with the appropriate resistor in line with each switch. To find the resistance, measure the in/out ohms from the factory switch unit.
