i am having a mild case of boost creep. i have a mhi evo3 16g turbo and a 2.5" turboback exhaust but i have the stock o2 housing and no cat. i have a boost leak right now so im only
creeping to about 15psi, but before i had the leak it would creep to about 18 psi before i shifted
at 6500.

i was told to go with a external wastegate so i have a tial on the way.

do i really need this? do you all think i could fix my creep with a tubular o2 housing? then sell the tial for supporting mods for higher boost.

thanks for all your help

like i said its already on the way. but i could use the money for other things if its not necessary. i would hate to ruin my turbine housing by porting it myself and i need my car to go to school and work so i cant send it out to get ported.
do you all think i should stick with the external?
or
do you think i could fix my creep with a tubular o2 housing. i only have a 2.5" exhaust. most cases i hear of creep are with 3" ones. so i may not have to go as far as some of them.

and i have a gm mas setup on the way so i will be able to run a little higher boost when i get that. if i sell the gate i could get a set of injectors and would be able to run the higher boost.

edit: i may port the wastegate flapper area to let it open fully, cuz i dont think that would take too long.

If you don't plan on proting the turbine inlet, don't bother with anything else (O2 dump, porting the flapper area and external on O2) and just go with an external wastegate mounted on the manifold. The biggest restriction is at the wastegate path entrance in the turbine inlet, anything you do after that, including external wastegate on O2, will still be limited to the restriction at the turbine inlet.

i would love to port it i just dont have the time to do it. so im gonna stick with the external setup since its already on the way.and it will sound badass when it opens up. all i need to buy is flanges then my cousin can weld it up.
thanks for the help.

You're welcome. Make sure you mount it on the manifold, mounting it on o2 will most likely will still require porting of the turbine inlet to ensure success. Good luck.
