POSSIBLE PROBLEM DIAGNOSIS - IF SO, MOVE PLEASE

Stock injectors, denso 190 FP, read profile for complete list of mods

I have had no issues with creep at all, until I recently installed my ported big 16G with 34mm flapper. The T25 would hold 16lbs perfectly. After I got the 16G installed, it would hold 10lbs (removed BC) until around 5k RPM or so, then it would shoot up to around 20lbs before I let off (once 22lbs on accident). I have read that the 02 housing needs to be ported or it will creep, so I bought an 02 housing eliminator with external dump. Now it holds 10lbs, until around 5500rpm, then it does the same thing - creeps (quickly) to 20ish until I let off. :barf: Now my car sounds like shit when I get on it, AND it still won't hold. Should I even bother hooking up the BC again to 16lbs? What else could it be?? What can I do?? Thanks in advance! :dsm:

Me and you are in the same dam boat except I'm running no pump and a big-t28. I talked to a few diff members on here and if that big16g is ported or is larger than the area it's matting up to it's making a lip and therefore causing you creep. Are your gaskets port matched?

I have no lip - I ordered the larger 7cm gasket, so that's not the issue. Any other suggestions? All are welcome.... :)

It's a tubular style @ 2.5" - I don't think it gets much better flowing.

Best idea's I can think of are...
Port the #### out of the o2 housing more.
Port the wastegate side of the turbo.

Other than that I don't know.
Cause I don't think my gaskets are matched up to my o2 housing and I think I got a lip thats why I'm creeping...

I got mine from RRE - the shipping kicked my a$$ though - it was like $24 or so after shipping. :thumbdown

My 02 housing can't be ported any more, porting the WG area of the turbo is my only other thing I can think is a possibility. Time to pull the turbo off again...

Im ridding around on my 14b set for 13 psi, 2.5 o2 with extrenal dump, stock o2 gasket, 2.5 dp, 3" catback and it creeps right up to 16 psi. WTF?

On stock fuel pump w/o some tuning, id like to not do that. Esp since itll just go to 20 then. Could the stock sized gasket be doing this?

It shouldn't have a problem if you set it to 16, there just wouldn't be any additional lag time. I am using the stock 02 gasket, but a different exhaust manifold gasket - the stock 02 gasket it a perfect size....

my o2 housing is barely ported and my 16g has been fine at 12 and 14psi no creep at all, i'm using a hallman mbc. i have the 34mm wg but the hole is opened up big time, also i made sure the air had a smooth clear path from the hole that connects to the exh mani i made sure it was highly ported that way and i opened up the wg-o2 hole a little bit, not much though. everything seems to be good. is the turbo ported good ?

Yes, the turbo is ported, but the WG side is not (to my knowledge). That's more than likely my next move - port that out.

Oh, and congrats on a non-creeping setup. :thumb:

If you keep the external dump then my method wont work. I have a similar setup (except for 14B) and I just removed the divider between the WG hole and the exhaust hole ( I know technical terms) and that helped. I wont however work if you have an external dump. I have pics in a thread here just look under my name.

I had creep until I got a HKS SSQV... then it went away... along with idle problems and other crap...

14b with ported stock o2 housing 3" no cat exhaust...

Well then, your new BOV is leaking. That is the only way a BOV could possibly help with boost creep....
