Creeeking...when I turn, brake etc..

Hey everyone, I've been doing some searching and found that Talons have a recall on front control arm? Whenever I turn my wheels or go over a bump or even brake sometimes I can hear this loud creeking/squeeking sound coming from the front/passenger side. I remember I was having that trouble and my mechanic coulnd't hear anything so he greesed it up and it went away for a few weeks. Now its back..could this be the problem? I'm not sure whether to call satan or mech first??

Yes, I would say more than likely it's your front lower ball joint that is squeaking. Mine did the exact same thing during turns, bumps, and braking. You might be able to verify it by bouncing the car up and down while your mechanic pinpoints it with a stethoscope. If it is the lower ball joints, you need to replace the front lower control arms. I recommend doing both sides. They are under $40 each and are moderately easy to replace, but can be difficult. Replace them as soon as possible if they are faulty because you don't want to suffer the consequences if they fail. Call your dealer and ask if the recall has be performed already. If it has, it may be up to you to pay for the repair. That is my experience with recalls and Mitsubishi. It may be different for you in Canada and your dealer.
