OK, I have a creaking that comes from my driver's side front wheel well when I am at a stop. It happens whether the car is on or not, and only when I play with the wheel, or get into/out of the car. It seems to go away right after i've been driving, or once I hit about 10MPH.

I checked the CV Boots, they're all fine, not a spec of grease. However, the axle is leaking grease close to the engine, and there's a good bit of it there. How would I go about purchasing a new axle....and how hard are they to install? I had my passenger side axle replaced when I got my act 2100 clutch put in, because it was stripped into the wheel hub. I'm also going about checking the recall information for my car, just to get them to replace the cv joints for free. Also, when I got underneath the car to check out the cv boots and what not, i noticed a good bit of oil on my transfer case. My oil cap is leaking pretty good, but I have no idea how it could get the whole ways down there without it coming from someplace else. thanks for all the help.

THANKS!

OK. I obviously missed a cv boot that was on the inner side of the driver's side axle. It's leaked a lot of grease, and I've realized that this is more than likely my problem. Is there a place online or otherwise that I could purchase an axle from? I know that there's a vfaq on how to install one, so that's not a problem. I'm just trying to find one cheaper than 100 bucks, if possible. Also, is there a sort of "temporary" fix that I could do so I can still drive it until I have the money to fix it?

Thanks!

Nobody? I was hoping to get an answer soon, hopefully somebody can answer me by tonight. THANKS!

Go to Carquest/Autozone/Napa/Pepboys/Dealership. Carquest seems to be the cheapest. and for the driver side which i also recently replaced only carquest got the right one. All the other stores besides a dealership gave me the passanger axel. Big difference on a awd! If ur a fwd aka wwd and of the stores listed should yeild you the right axel. Mine was $80 from carquest, and they had it the next day. :talon:
