I hear creaking noise from somewhere from under the hood when i push clutch pedal about little less than half way..
Creaking noise is like some plastic is rubbing hard each other... and I can even feel unsmoothness clutch pedal while the tranny making creaking noise. I just replaced my clutch with ACT2100 with XACT flywheel with STOCK throw out bearing.
i have 99 GST Spyder and there is no problem with driving and engaging. Everything working good.
I couldnt find good answer from search...

Are you sure it is coming from under the hood? The spring on the pedal gets old and makes that noise. You can replace it or do what I did and spray it with WD40 a few times. I sprayed mine once and then a second time a few days later and it went away.

Sorry....ZEP-45 is a step above WD-40. I use it when WD-40 doesn't work anymore:thumb:

Check your slave cylinder first i had a similar thing happening and one day under the car i noticed that the rod on my slave was bent... this also happenens with your master cylinder also... try having you under the hood and having someone push the pedal a couple times for ya and see if you can pinpoint where the noise is coming from... it its near the firewall its gotta be your master cylinder if it sounds like it coming from the front of the engine bay then check the slave... dajre777 also could be right i know exactly what he means by them getting a little creeking as they get older... good luck with pin pointing it and let us know if ya figure out what it was...

I had this problem driving me nuts for weeks. I eventually grabbed the good old grease gun and greased the joint that I assumed the noise was coming from. I was so happy when it went away. I hate little things like that.

NOT from the pedal! pedal making clicking noise though :(
This noise happened after i replace clutch... before, never happened like this...
By the way.. where are the master cylinder and slave sylinder?

ZEP-45 was for the spring....many other uses too. Anywaz, if it's not coming from the pedal...hmm....i don't know. As for the clutch master cylinder, it's attached to the firewall and the clutch fluid resevoir. Slave is under the tranny. Good luck.

I was wondering if you found a solution to this?? I am having a creaking sound coming out from under my tranny also when I press the clutch in and let it out- I too just replaced my clutch with an ACT 2100.....
