Ok... I just bought a 93 gsx (not car in profile) it has a 3 inch exhaust and cone filter. I did my first 1st gear threw 4th gear pull today and up towards the top of third i smelled oil. BAD. I pulled over and there was oil all over the drivers side of my engine. there is some splatter on the drivers side of the down pipe. and ALOT on the side of the car. where could it be coming from... oil filter is tight. so is dipstick. any help would be appreciated.

Might be that your oil pan is leaking or you have a leak somewhere along your oil pump cover and it's getting everywhere. Have you taken the oil pump cover off yet? Clean everything off and let the engine run for a little bit.

I have a similar leak. It is coming from the bottom part of the cam seals, and it leaks onto the timing belt and slings all over the driver's side. (I don't have a cover over the timing belt). Clean this part of the head really well, then go make it leak oil and see if it's wet there.
