ok theres two questions i want to ask...one...how do you take the crank sprocket off? (i already have the bolt off the front but i cant pull it off) and inside the timing belt cover (95 eclipse GST 5 speed) theres the timing belt ofcorse...and theres another belt behind that...the other question is...does that second belt in the back have to be timed as well?

you have a lot of research to do my friend. If you already have the crank sprocket bolt off, just shim the sprocket back and forth (side to side) until it frees itself. It also helps to use a screw driver on the pin holes. As for the BALANCE BELT, which is the belt you are asking about), it will also need to be timed. If you look at the left most sprocket, you will see that there is a mark on the Bbelt sprocket and a mark on the front case. It points to about 10 o'clock. Definitely make sure this is in time. I also fear that you may not know that your oil pump sprocket (right most) needs to be in PHASE. Basically move the oil sprocket mark to 12 o'clock. Then let go. If it falls CCW, your sprocket is in phase. If it is CW, then spin it one more time and do it again. If you do not do this, you will have massive vibrations.

Please refer to : vfaq.com for 2g timing belt instructions.

goodluck, AND TAKE YOUR TIME.

First off the 2nd belt your reffering to is the balance shaft belt, and yes it needs to be timed.

About the crank sprocket. I assume your reffering to the t-belt crank sprocket, not the pulley out front correct?

If so, remove the crank center bolt and washer, then the crank sprocket will slide off.

yes, you can get the "harmonic pulley puller" kit from any auto store. They run for too much cash and it's a simple job to get it off. Chances are your sprocket is just rusted on there. Go back and take a rubber mallet to it. Hit it a couple of times.

Also, take a look at Dan's picture. You will notice how he has the four bolts attached to the crank sprocket. you can usually use those for leverage of getting the sprocket to shim.
