420A crank position sensor location?

I think my crank position sensor may be bad, does any one know where it is on a 420a

i believe your talking about the camshaft position sensor......see pic attached. It is on the opposite end from where your cam gears are.....the closest corner of the engine towards you.

thanks, i thought that was it. Is there any way to test it without a volt meter. i lack a lot of the fancy tools

Actually that is the crankshaft position sensor. The PCM dosen't care where the cams are only the crank. It's used for fuel delivery and ignition timing.

crankshaft positions sensor is just above your oil filter. gotta crawl under the car to get to it. atleast thats were it is on my 95 gs. if you crawl in from the front of the car it will be to the upper left of the oil filter. the pic above is pointing to the cam position sensor
