Ok i am in the process of replacing my crank position sensor in my 97 eclipse gsx and I have noticed that the disk that the sensor seances has some worn in it should I go ahead and replace the disk it only $17
Thanks

There's no need to replace it with just some visual wear on the surface as long as the general shape is intact. If your sensor was hitting though you should be checking your crank end play to be sure this wasn't the crank walking. It could be the plate was deformed on install accidentally leading to the sensor failure but it could also be extreme end play from the crank moving the plate outward enough to hit the sensor, so better to be safe than sorry later.
