It's just a little tiny crack about an inch long. Not very deep, kind of looks like a scratch but I'm almost 99% sure it's not a scratch. Is this anything to worry about?

It's on the top of the manifold, noticed it when I took the heat shield off.

It will cause your spool to be slower. With any leak before the o2 you are going to have performance issues.

(you would hear the sputter)
 plz xsplain i have a huge crack in my 1g manifold probly no shit a good 2 1/2 inches it's pretty big i have a sputter i cant really hear it but i can feel that shit when i first start to spool but my car hols 18 psi consistant so ???? i am going to be going with the evo mani as soon as i get paid but is the sbr the "BEST" for the 1g or is there other options out there ?

Sputter is the sound of the exhaust gas escaping the gapping hole.

You will still get boost, just later. The 1G is prone to cracking so I would just replace and carry-on.

Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but I found a crack on my 1g manifold, and ordered a used ported 2g manifold for $80 . I am ordering the gaskets now, but what I need to know is if I should get the 2 layer, or the 4 layer manifold gasket? I'm also getting the ss 7cm gasket, and a turbo bolt to replace the stud. Is there anything I'm leaving out? Thank you
