I have a black 90 TSI AWD and it has a few rust spots and I just want to do a hack job and put some black paint to cover up the rust real ghetto like.

What colour paint or type should I buy?

id get a metal wire brush and put it on a drill, clean it up nice, get some naval jelly, clean the rust all that stuff, some tiger hair bondo, glazing putty and make it all nice and fixed, but thats just me.

I'm in the process right now of doing some rust repair.I've done everything the last guy said(wirebrush-jelly-filler-glazing putty)Now I'm waiting on clear weather to finish sanding the glaze down smooth. Then my bud is going to primer my car black for $100.00.Then a couple weeks later.BMW Black Sapphire Metalic.Dude,do it right so it wont rust out again.....have patience!

:D :thumb: :talon:

Heres a pic of a spot that is now in its final stage of sanding.I will post the filled hole pics soon.Note:This pic only shows about 5% of the huge rustout under that side skirt.

if you really wanna do a hack job then I'd just get some cheap black spray on paint and have at it.
You could also try Por-15.
