Couple of questions...

Ok so I have a few questions:

1. I am not sure what the technical terms for it all is but I want to change all those silly rubber hoses and such for the intake and everything to hard piping. What is it all called and where can I find it?

2. My car almost feels like its not boosting anymore... Like yes I still feel the boost but not like when I first bought it. I still hear the spool up and all but just seems to have degraded.

3. After driving my car for a while If i pop the hood I hear a boiling sound... which is weird because the temp gauge never goes past the halfway mark?

4. I asked this before but never got a quite dead on answer. When I push the car in 2nd gear past 30 mph and let off the gas it makes really loud rattling noise until it hits about 22mph then goes away. It also goes away if I press on the gas. Same thing happens in 3rd if i push it past 45 then let off, same with 4th and 5th. Any ideas as to why it make the horrible sound while decelerating? Almost sounds like it some from under the passenger side floor.

I'm still a DSM newb myself but I'll attempt to help.

1.) The hoses you're referring to are "intercooler piping". They usually comes in kits, one for upper IC piping (UICP) and one for the lower IC piping (LICP). I too would like to upgrade but I have not yet found a very affordable option. From what I have heard they allow you to hear your turbo more not to mention cleaning up your engine bay and helping eliminate possible boost leaks. There are a few kits out there, check the different vendors in the vendor section and see who can help you out. Maybe someone can offer a nice affordable solution?

2.) What is your boost gauge reading? Do you have an aftermarket boost gauge? The factory one is not exactly what you'd call "accurate". Have you done a boost leak test?

3.) This is likely the coolant boiling in your overflow tank. I've experienced this in my DD. (not a DSM). Someone might have more info for you on that one.

dejon makes great affordable intercooler pipes. thats what im running, you can also choose which color you want them to be. as for the bubbling that would most likely be your coolant overflow tank.
