New motor couple questions

Sup tuners!!!! So i just purchased a 95 talon tsi awd with a bad motor. I purchased a new motor already and swapped it in but this motor is from a 97-99 dsm so the cas is in the opposite side of the motor. I read a couple of threads saying if you have the pig tail you can cut it an solder it and it should work just fine. Is this true? Another thing is that this car has a 10 AN line all the way back to the fuel tank and has a afpr in place of the fuel filter. So theres no fuel filter. Is this bad? will it affect anything?

Always run a fuel filter. Its a must have!

Keep the afpr but you need to install a fuel filter this is a must.
