I have a 97' eagle talon TSI AWD with the stock turbo, intercooler piping, air intake, 3" exhaust, down pipe, and a type-s BOV. ok so I have a couple of questions??

1. I will be upgrading to a tdo5-20G turbo that is ported and clipped 10 degrees
-ported 2nd gen. exhaust manifold
-HKS external wastgate
-ported O2 housing
-Xs manual boost controller
-Wallbro 255 fuel pump
-MSD DIS-4 ign.

So I was looking at getting 550cc injectors but i wasent sure if that was too much/too little???

Do you guys think this would be a desent street set up I am only looking for a pretty fast car nothing outrageous. so tell me what you think if I am missing any thing????

2) On my shifter going threw all the gears it kinda seems like it wants to catch or just dosent shift butter smooth!! There for I am loosing a lot of time between shifts is this some thing in the tranny on will it go away with new bushings and a short throw shifter?? also the tranny was rebuilt 12000 miles ago. If you know please help this is a pain so far!!!

Why are you looking at a ported and clipped TD05-20G for a street setup? You can have the FP Big T28, EVOIII16G or a 50 trim turbo. If you want to stick with a Mitsubishi turbo, go with a TD05-18G. With all turbos you won't need an external wastegate (unless you have boost creep issues with the EVO3 and porting everything doesn't fix it). The 255 fuel pump WILL need a AFPR. Any of the turbos above will get enough fuel with a 190 pump on a street setup.

550cc injectors are good for the T28. If you are going to a EvoIII16g or the 18G get 660cc injectors. For a 50 trim or 20g, you'll probably need 720cc injectors.

What you are missing - A fuel computer and gauges (boost+EGT), logger. If you get DSMlink you don't need to get a logger. Ditch the MSD DIS-4 ign, the stock ignition will work fine. You'll need a bigger SMIC or FMIC with upgraded turbos.

About the tranny, change your fluids if you haven't yet. Get BG Synchroshift or go to Superlube and get Pennzoil Synchromesh. Mine was terrible until I got a Greddy Counterweight Shift knob and some Energy Suspension Bushings. Now it shifts good and solid, but not butter smooth. I need to change fluids though. If you are losing time between shifts, the short throw shifter will help.

the reason I am going W/ the 20G and external wast gate is because A guy i know has them and the ported 02 housing for sale for pretty cheep, I just put I was only looking for a desent street set up is because last time I asked a question like this poeple were just going on and on and on with mods I need to get. I am pretty new to the DSM game so I was lost. LOL so any help would be greatly appreciated! Also what type and weight of motor oil do you guys suggest running??? THANKS!!!

Porting is a great idea. Clipping however isn't the world's greatest thing. I regret doing it. It increased my spoolup time and still didn't show any topend results. Just go with porting.
