Could boost leaks cause a dsm to run more rich?

Just wondering because I think I have vacuum leaks and my car definatly doesn't need to be leaned out on the afc near as much as someone elses with 650 cc injectors.

boost leaks ALWAYS make the car run rich. ECU thinks that air is going into the engine, so it gives the correct amt. of fuel. When in reality, that air is escaping to the atmosphere. Less air + more fuel = RICH.

Thanks appreciate the answer.

Dont put your settings by what your friend is running though. Get a PL or another device so you can monitor your own car and tune to your cars needs.

I have a logger and Im tunning off that not someone else's car. I'm just comparing tuning points because they are so much different then avarage.

so what are the settings you are questioning (what%@rpm)? what injectors ? blah blah-

650cc's: low throttle about -10 across the board, Hi throttle is like -15 across the board. My vacuum is around 12-15 at idle and I have bad surging when the motor is cold. So I pretty much know what I have to do. Test for leaks and get them fixed. Unless there is any other advice to be had.
