Could a boost leak cause idle surge?

I am asking because I know my car has a mega leak somewhere (slower n molasses), and also have a nice idle surge. Before I buy an ISC, copuld the boost leak even possibly be the cause of the surge? If so, I'll just fix that and not worry about an ISC. :)

TIA guys, Ryan

It could.

I know it will cause the idle to be very lumpy(like big cams) and tend to want to stall out.

Yes a boost leak if after the TB will allow more air into the engine. If you are still within the fuel trims of the ECU it could deffinately cause idle surge.

Fix the leak before you go and buy an ISC.

haha i noticed that my car surged when it was warming up, but over the past week i've done alot or organising, cleaning and whatnot and i noticed my LICP was not all the way on my IC so i took the IC off cleaned it inside and polished the outside and put the hose back on and made sure everything else was nice and tight and boom no more idle surge so hell yeah go over every part before ya go and get something you might not need
