So I have always been able to pull the bottom right corner manifold nut off with a 1/4" rachet and an offset wrench. Well I switched manifolds to an SBR manifold and I have absolutely no space to work with. Can't get a rachet in there, can't get my wrench in there. Can't go from underneath the manifold....anyone have any tricks to tightening this nut up? I don't want a pre-turbo exhaust leak.

Wrench won't work...unless there is a kind I haven't tried. Ratcheting wrench won't fit, open end wrench won't fit, offset won't fit.

So it boils down to wobble head huh? The only thing I'd be concerned with is if it is deep enough.

When I had power steering still, I took a cheapo wrench and heated it up and bent it so it'd fit. I also at one point milled a section of the ps bracket off to get to it. It's a b!tch either way. I think I still have my milled bracket if you'd be interested.

Since I am changing the P/S belt anyways, I might take the entire thing off and grind the piss out of it. Then again, maybe not. Guess I will keep cussing and throwing shit until I get it.

Always works for me.^^^LOL

Would you be able to get it with the PS pump removed?

Well if that bracket is out of the way, it wouldn't be a big deal.

And I WOULD delete P/S if I didn't have to spend money buying a new rack and shit.

So take the bracket off :ohdamn: You can move the power steering pump out of the way without disconnecting any of the lines and then just unbolt the bracket. It's just two or three 12 mm bolts.

Hope this helps!

Did the bracket mod along time ago and it's by far the easiest way to do business now. Although I am in the middle of a rebuild, I did the PS removal and won't have the prob' anymore. I have a nice cut and painted bracket for cheap if you want it.

i can't post a pic' as it's already being used in another post, but here's the link to the post, just scroll down to see them.. See how much more room there is.:D

Well tickle me pink....we will see what I feel like doing...cut the bracket or try a swivel head LOL

I tightened mine with a long extension and a universal joint...with the power steering on.

Bought a 1/4" universal joint, 6" extension and tightened it down in about 5 seconds. Cake work. No need to mess with the power steering at all.
