Cops bust street racers in Norfolk VA

Is SAFC compatible with my engine?
I've heard it was, I wasn't sure of which route I should take to transform my car into a street racing mobile. I heard vinyls worked good too.

They've been known to, but I wouldn't go for the vinyls without the supporting mods: underglow, bodykit and painted dash.

If you're gonna be a racer, you gotta do it right.

Well im glad I wouldnt be caught dead driving an integra anyway! That is so funny. This is damn near a bone stock integra! Its a street racer mobile! This is possibly one of the funniest things ive seen in awhile!

seriously, its all in the driver. If a guy cant control his integra, he doesnt need to have a car. It still seems to be a lot of the honda guys that keep getting caught. I wonder why? Maybe cause vtec doesnt work when they are running from the cops!

well, nobody from san diego has posted on this yet so i guess ill be the first...

i don't get it nearly as much as the other 99% of DSM guys out here in socal so i can't complain because im plated out of state. i grew up in ft collins, co and the closest track (bandimere) was an hour drive which was WAY out of the question when i was younger, street racing was everywhere. after i joined the military and having somewhat of a choice where i went i was all over so cal for obvious reasons... the beaches, hot girls, and more importantly the tuner scene. in the 4 years ive been here ive never heard or seen organized street racing so for one i have no idea what the $600,000 is paying for? wasted time trying to find it i guess. i do know one thing though... "taking it to the track" like that cop is talking about is a 1/8th mile two lane "track" located in the parking lot of the san diego chargers football stadium, its a $30 race fee, and you have to wear a full helmet when 99% of the cars racing don't make it over the 70mph mark the closest 1/4 mile track is over 2 hours away and the "open to the public" racing is few and far between...

we've still got RRE just up the street an hour though

...and since we're bashing that reporter, id hate to see him pop the hood of some of the REALLY modded DSM's out there, he wouldn't know where or what to point at first...

Around where I live, we have a lot of riced out Hondas, but when I do see street racing, it never involves an import, mostly the Mustang and Camaro guys. However, the police never seem to bother them for loud exhausts and "illegal mods."

I got pulled over because of my exhaust, which I was nice enough to point out to the officer is mild compared to a Viper or Mustang Cobra.

I find it funny that any number of V8 Domestics STOCK are likely faster than that Acura, yet the compacts are what gets villionized. Maybe they should target the drivers of the 505-650HP Z06/ZR1 Vettes. Oh yea, those people have the $ to spend in court, easier to go after the piss broke teenagers.

I love that my mom lives in Idaho..... Register my car there, no emissions, or other related CARB crap..... And I live in Spokane, WA right now, and they require emissions... helps a lot. They had a huge street race problem up here for a while too... I even got in trouble once, haven't done it since. They started to eliminate it though when they opened the track on friday nights, no timeslips or anything, race who you wanted. Street racing went way down.
