Got my catch cans today. The square ebay ones that can open at the top and bottom. I know people have used SS wool, but can I use copper wool also without worrying about corrosion?

copper tarnishes and corrodes.. i wouldnt use it in mine. i found ss pads that were like a sock unrolled at walmart. it was supper easy to put in compaired to the first one i did that was the pads that rip apart. they are large but i still got 1.5 of them in the second can i installed between the vc and intake manifold.

If you are running the cans the correct way (with suction applied to one side), I wouldn't use anything like that...unless you like replacing turbos or getting strands of that stuff in your engine.

Since calan makes the best dsm catch can, I would say he wouldnt run them at all. ;) LOL

I was waiting for someone to say that LOL. I remember seeing a thread from a while back where a guy was using this same can, and I can't find it now. Anyone know?
