ok, i've pulled everying i had into this rebuild and now im getting kicked in the face.

I got evo scan so this is where my info is coming from.

Car sits and idles around 210/216, then around town 226 and on the highway 230/240 it bounces and sits around 226/230 after it makes up its mind.

Its a fresh rebuild, replaced the T-stat twice, flushed the rad, bleed the system, new water pump and i cant figure it out. I know having a FMIC adds to the temps but this high??

Im going to pull the plugs tomorrow and see what they say, but its a stock rebuild 7bolt, with stock injectors, fuel setup, 14b at 11lbs I dont know what else to do, i have really no one local to ask, you guys here have been great help all the way (last 3years). Im just stumped.

So it sits out back till i figure out whats up. thanks.

no, it was the same ECU, the 2 shops said it was the ecu and i didn't think it was. I did find a small tear in my HG but dont think that was the issue, but replaced it anyways.

In the end after doing what ever, from Tstats down to the head gasket, when i shipped the ECU to get ECUlink V3 installed they found that i had a blown sensor ground, and that would cause it to say its over heating and really not. Its on there wiki, and im just thankful it wasnt the bottom end.

Did your temp gauge ever go up too?

see thats what drove me and the shop's nuts, it never moved, and my autometer water temp never got above 210/215. It drove us mad i tell ya. but saved the money and got dsmlink/v3 lite and they found it was a blown ground. so yeah, im stoked and its running like a champ now, i have a new valve cover to put on it and new lifters, just waiting for the tool to ease the installation.

How hot was it running on link again?

before the fix, i was using Evo Scan, was hitting 235/250

after having the guys at ECM Tuning put in Dsmlink V3 Lite, and found a blown sensor ground

temps are 210/203 esh.

with out a front mount, im sure its around that, but i have a 3inch core, and im adding ducting tomorrow so it should help. I'm also getting a cooler tstat opens earler then the stock.

Could be... Colder tstat doesn't do anything. If you're going over 185 (stock tstat) then that means your cooling system can't keepup for whatever reason. A colder tstat will open earlier and just delay it...

yeah, like i said, its a heck of alot better, the car is running better now the ecu isn't throwing problems.

I'm sure its the front mount that is casuing the temps now, as its got to go threw that, then the ac condensor then the mitsu rad and fans. I know when they kick on it sounds like a hurrican and temps drop quick and off they go.

If you were to hop on the parkway or something right now and just cruise not beating on it, what would your temps be?

last log i did in town , going to get my kid from school showed 196/203 and its a mile away but my speed never really got over 35 (intown)
