coolant tem sensor??

ok here it goes.every morning its difficult to get my car to start up i always got to keep pumping the gas for a lil bit before it actuallly starts up.when hot no problem it starts right up..now im getting a funny idle in the morning my car is idling at 1500 for like 6 miles to work.before it used to idle just perfect around 800-1000.could my coolent temp sensor be causing this.if so were is it located so i can take a look at it??..as said before it shouldnt give off a misfire.but im misfiring a lil bit whille i sit still waiting for the light at high idle

You need to find the thermostat housing where the cap is for the cooling system. The coolant sensor is right below that, near the top of the thermostat housing. It will have an electrical connector going to it. Below that is another sensor which has vacuum lines going to it (if they are still hooked up) and below that is yet another sensor, but the one you want is at the top (it sends info to the ecu).

The sensor is just a little kind of screw in bolt-looking thing with an electrical connector coming from it. It's about a half inch wide and is located behind where the coolant fill cap is on the T-stat housing. It's just screwed right in and can be taken out with a crescent wrench.
