I have an electric Autometer coolant temperature gauge I just hooked up, but I wasnt sure which wire I needed to tap into, so I just picked one and tried it out, It read the temp. correctly so I just left it, but now when the car runs for about a minute, the Check Engine light comes on, and my Datalogger says the coolant temp. sensor is throwing the code, but the new autometer gauge still works as well as the stock gauge.. did I tap the wrong wire to cause this? anyone done this before and can describe which wire/sensor is right to connect to? Also, my datalogger reads the coolant temp to be a steady -59 degreese celcius..
