92 tsi awd, getting a sbr g-60 turbo on this week. this turbo is only oil cooled, most know that the t-stat housing has 2 small line/tubes that connect hoses to the original turbo lines/water pipes. so my questions are....

1. off the t-stat housing i have 2 nipples off of it, can i just put a hose and bolt and plug them up individually??

2. or run a short hose with no kinks to and from those 2 to make a loop that allowsflows??

3. also on the water pipe, the farthest right nipple near alternator can i just attach a hose and plug that one up too or do i need to route it to the original location on the housing?? the middle line on the water pipe that goes directly to the turbo i have already eliminated by pluging the tube with a bolt from extreme psi(by the way does this bolt need a gasket/crush washer. or use teflon??)

thanks guys

I had the same situation and what I did was use these little rubber caps from auto zone to cap of the thermostat housing.

For the water pipe I had it welded up to avoid issues.

I haven't seen any adverse side effects so far but I also changed out the radiator at the same time so it would be hard to tell the difference in actual cooling ability.

Those nipples and lines kept rotting on me so I just invested in a N/T water pipe and lower thermostat housing which do not have those ports. One of the cleanest ways to go about it and would be a direct swap out so no down time.

I have also read people crushing the ports with a pair of vice grips then capping it off.
