Coolant Lines - Is this a dumb idea?

As most of you northerners can tell, it is the middle of winter. I do not have a place to work on my car, and it has developed a bad coolant leak from one of the turbo coolant feed lines.

I am considering simply putting a small piece of pipe between the two rubber hoses and call it good until I can find somewhere to fix whatever is broken, or have it fixed for me.

My car uses a turbo timer all the time, so will I toast my stock t-25 if I do this?

Thanks for the help!

It's not the best idea but it's better than killing your headgasket or head from overheating. Just be sure you give it plenty of time for the oil to cool off the turbo.

as long as the pipe had beads on each end to prevent leaking. Try to find a piece of pipe close to the diameter of the hose. You'll be good to go, or you could just get a piece of rubber hose at a autoparts store for about 2 bucks. :thumb:

I had one spring a leak and the dude just told me to stick it in my pocket. I felt guilty about it so I spent $50 there on some overpriced stuff.
