Coolant leak

I got some coolant on top of the transmission but isn't a constant leak, think it may be happening under heavy load of boost.

I think it may be looking from where the entire housing for the thermostat, coolant temp sensor, and all the other lines are connected to. That "main" housing that connects to the block, is there a gasket to that? Though it felt wet underneath that but didn't want to remove it and be S.O.L. without a gasket.

There is no gasket on the 2g thermostat housing, it uses silicone sealant. There's a groove cut into the thermostat housing which helps the silicone seal against the head. I would completely remove the housing so you can clean off every bit of old sealant and inspect it for other leaks. Once the housing is removed you'll need at least one new water pipe O-ring, which should be lightly greased before install.

And because this job can be as painful as it sounds, I would suggest cleaning/resealing the entire housing at the same time. It's not totally necessary but definitely a good idea. Clean and reseal both water necks with RTV Blue. Remove all the sensors, clean the threads, and use Blue thread-locker during install. Clean corrosion from the barb fittings and replace any hoses and clamps that look don't look new. And you'll likely never have a leak there again.

Thought water pump gasket was best to use over blue RTV?

So best off getting both coolant o rings replace them (what should I grease them with?) and clean the entire thing while I have it disconnected basically.
