coolant leak, is this what caused it?

i had my car on while the engine was off, and i believe the ac fan was on also. after i left my car, i realized there was coolant on the ground. i checked the reservior and there is no coolant left. Is this cause i had my car running while the engine was off and if not, what is the problem?

The key was on but the motor was not running?

the key was in and turned to acessory. therefore the engine wasnt cranked and i had the ac fan running along with the electronics in car... i refilled the coolant tank and there is no leak soo far, so im wondering why having the key in accessory would make the coolant overflow/drain.

If the motor wasn't on, the water pump wasn't running. I wouldn't think there would be an issue. I'm no help, sorry.

You've got a coolant leak that is unrelated to the position of the key. You need to add coolant and check again for leaks. How many miles on the car? Check the upper coolant hose for corrosion, radiator cap filler neck for stains from a leaking cap, check the block on the belt side for signs of a coolant leak (could be a water pump).

ok, after i posted the problem, i refilled the coolant tank and drove to work, this morning i have a little more than the "low" amount of coolant left in the reservior. I took a few pics of where i believe the leak is coming from and hopefully that will help.

i believe the leak is coming from that hose but i didnt see or feel anything wrong with it. If you have and idea what it might be, let me know, thanks

theres a tiny pinhole leak in the bottom right side of the radiator. Is there anything i can do to fix it or will i need a new one?

Im sure you could find somebody that could weld it or fix it somehow, I dont think you need a whole new rad for a small leak. I would call around local metal shops and see if they can fix it for you.
