If you have 5k to waste on it i would just go look for an AWD..

Please read the myriad of articles on converting FWD cars to AWD. They're only a search away.

What you'll no doubt find is that it's going to be more trouble to do the fabrication and buy all the parts than it'll be worth to you. But anything is possible.
