I'm finishing up my 1st tuner(well it was basically built when I got it for an AMAZING DEAL) '95 Talon big turbo super built 420a fwd 5 speed

Seeing a TSI is built on the same chassis I'm assuming that the parts interchangeable. Would I be correct? Can I take the trans, drive shaft, transfer case, etc from an AWD and swap that into my FWD 2g? Is there a kit they sell for this as im sure this has to be relatively common swap? If so there is could you please kindly send me a PM or reply on here or any other that you think may help me. Like I stated this my 1st tuner and I'm new to this so ALL this is a learning experience which I greatly appreciate. Thanks to any and all who help.

Oh I just wanted to ad my Talon is SUPER CLEAN has not 1 speck of rust and underbody even cleaner. Also has a nice fresh professional paint job so getting a totally different AWD car/roller is NOT an option I'm willing to explore.

As I am unaware about the chassis setup of NA and/or NT cars, I know a Mitsubishi transmission will not work from a second generation DSM. The whole fact the engine is oriented the opposite way between vehicles I do not see this happening. Unless you are able to find a transmission that will somehow work with the Chrysler engine you won't be doing this swap.

I want to remind you about the fact I am unaware the chassis is able to have an AWD rear end put into it. This would be another "impossible" factor.

Hope this helps.

The rear subframe/rear end/fuel tank would probably go into the GS/RS just fine. It's the reversed engine and lack of AWD transmission that really kills it. You might be able to get some kind of Evo transmission to work, but I have no idea why you'd do all that work instead of just getting a GSX to begin with.

Thanks for your response and I do get your points and never thought of them to be honest with you. I feel this is a swap this somewhat common tho but maybe I'm just totally wrong about that. Like I said I'm new to this. Thanks and hopefully someone else can shed some more Light on this letting me know what my options are. I want to make my '95 talon 420a fwd into awd I don't care really how it gets done I thought there would be some sort of kit but maybe not. Time to read on. Thanks again!

As my 1st post States I got an AMAZING DEAL and my car is 1 of the cleanest '95s of any model of car you'll find. And it makes well over 500 fwhp but no it's not gonna hook so I wanted to swap to awd.

Hell I still have my FULL RUNNING 6bolt 4g63t I've been saving for and awd 5 speed roller but that's a '91 or '92 Galant VR4 roller but can never find a CLEAN RUST FREE 1 anywhere near or priced right or if it is it's sold in 10 mins LOL. I guess I was just wishing making my 420a '95 talon into awd was nothing to hard but from what I'm hearing it sounds like it's time to keep looking for the GVR4 for my 4g63t LOL. Thanks again.

you could probably do it using EVERYTHiNG from a awd. Say you had a pristine RS and z gsx that had been rolled and the body was thrashed. Indont see why you couldnt make that work, but as far as the 420a engine goes, as stated its on the wrong side. Anything is possible though, if you have fab skills and time and some money. I imagine you could use an evo transmission, tcase, and rear end. Would have to fabricate the rear subframe mostlikely, and would definitely have to fabricate a bellhousing adapter. Possible, yes, worthwhile, no.

Thanks guys! I feel dumb asking now it seems so obvious but I do appreciate it. I guess I was just having wishful thinking. My AWD car will be when I finally find that pristine GVR4 and drop my 6bolt in it guess and just roll my built turbo 420a talon as fwd. Seems like how it's gonna be. Oh well. Everyone has been super helpful I really appreciate it

Well I'm sure that it can be done, just as I said not easily. I'm sure that when that guy set out to build a twin engine awd Hyundai tiburon people laughed and laughed some more. Until he posted videos of it starting, and starting, and doing awd burnouts.

No way to make a 420a AWD, 420a and 4g63 are not interchangeable AT ALL. There was once an attempt at a 420a AWD with mini van rear. But that project was scrapped after awhile, LOSS OF INTEREST/TOO MUCH $$$ to make it worth it at all. and over 500whp??? LOL
