I've searched around quite a bit and read several articles about replacing the elastic straps that control the floating rib on the convertible tops but I would like some feedback on what materials people are using and how long those materials should be.
The ebay kit is $75 and neither of my links are broken so I would prefer to just bend them back and replace the tensioning material. The kit mentions using cable and I wondered if anyone had a suggestion for how long the cables should be if I made my own. I could use my current elastic as a guide but based on how stretched out the pieces are I don't consider them accurate.
Suggestions, dimensions, and pictures would be greatly appreciated from anyone that has done this.
Link to the ebay kit for anyone interested, I've heard good things about it.
