so guys and gals, I just bought a 97 eclipse spyder gst last night. The convertible top tension cable on the drivers side is broke, and I was wondering how hard that is to fix?? I've found a set of new replacement cables for $40 shipped on ebay, does anyone know of anywhere else to buy them, and if $40 is a good price for it?? also, a convertible top link is bent on the drivers side as well...I see aftermarket ones on ebay for around $125 shipped, and they come with that wire cable attached to them, supposedly to help the top go up and down easier without bending the link again. How hard is the link to fix?? and is that link on ebay worth the $125?? thanks for the help guys and gals!

thanks guys, the links came in today....they look pretty nice. I probably won't get a chance to install them for a few days, but I think it'll be pretty easy.

one question I have still is, how hard is it to replace the convertible top tension cables?? those are coming in on monday, and i'm thinking I'll try doing both repairs in one shot.

Hello Everyone I Need Help Putting On The Side Tension Cables On My Convertible 98 Eclipse If Someone Can Please Post Pictures On Where They Go I Will Greatly Appreciated. With The Pictures I Would Be Able To Install It Because I Don't Even Know Where They Go.

Thank You..
